Earselene Wallace (Goodwin)

July 24th, 1918 - August 22nd, 2014

Sister Earselene Wallace Goodwin was born into this life on July 24, 1918 to parents James Chancy and Beulah Wallace, in the land of Monticello, Mississippi. She was one of three siblings born into the family. Being the only girl, she was graced with two brothers: James, Jr. and Freddie Wallace.

Sister Goodwin, affectionately called by those that knew her, as simply Mom, received her primary education at Lawrence County High School, located in her hometown of Monticello, MS. She would later marry into the Goodwin family becoming the wife of Morris Goodwin, Sr., on June 14, 1947. To their family union God would add two children: Morris, Jr. and Pamela Jean. 

Sister Earselene Goodwin departed this life in the evening hours on Friday, August 22, this year, headed home to be with the Lord.  She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Morris, Jr. (wife Donna), daughter Pamela Jean Goodwin, and a step-daughter, Earline Holmes and her family. Also, her grandchildren: Morris III and Lindsay Nicole Goodwin, John (wife Shonita) Nehemiah Harper, Ashley
Stepney; and, great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Michelle Harper, Daeshawn, and Mia. Additionally, she leaves a host of long-term family and friends abroad and locally. A Spiritual son and pastor, Rev. Arthur (wife Bobbie Jean) Agnew, a God-daughter and her family: Sister Ruth Hall, a very close friend: Sister Annie English, along with a large number of those she touched deeply during her years of witnessing for Christ, at Bethesda Church, and throughout the nation. Mom will truly be missed as a moral creature constantly in communion with God and community (she truly loved people).

Novella Williams

January 29th, 1929 - June 22nd, 2013

Novella Williams was born January 29, 1929 to Frankie Mae Martin and Johnny Barnes in Lawrence County, Mississippi. Novella was a beautician by trade and was very active in the Homemaker's Club via the Mississippi State University and Harrison County Extension Service. Novella loved to travel and was known to take road trips for college football games, conventions, or family visits.
 
She leaves to continue life without her, her faithful husband, Johnnie Williams. Daughters Robyn (William McKeithen Jr.) Chatman MD, Francine Wiggins. Sons, Johnnie III (Kay), Felix (Jocelyne), Byron, Gregory (Rhonda), Vincent, Andrew, Ariel, Patrick and Kevin Williams. Sisters, Arcolla Norwood, Sylvia Barnes, Sarah Jones and Mary Alice Broock. Brothers, George Barnes and Alan Barnes. 23 Grandchildren, 1 Great Granchild and a host of nieces and nephews survive her.

David Craig Hall, Sr. was born in the home of Myrtle and Freddie Hall, Sr. on February 22, 1961. David possessed a loving and outgoing personality. He never met a stranger who he couldn't hold a conversation with nor was he intimidated by anyone.

Artis Carolyn "C" Walker

Artis C. Walker was born May 29, 1932 in Monticello, Mississippi. She departed this life on Sunday, June 5, 2011 in Oakland, California. Artis C. was a teacher for thirty four (34) years. Her passion was "The Card Ministry." She would always send cards to let you know she was thinking of you and that God loves you.

She leaves to cherish her memories five children, Carolyn D. Walker, Gwendolyn S. Jones, Betty L. Blue, Ronnie F. Walker and Cynthia E. Walker, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers and many other relatives and friends.

Nolan James Walker was born in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Beatrice Walker Erving and Earl Breaux.  He was active in his church and civic affairs.  He briefly served in the United States Marine Corps.  He attended Copiah Lincoln Junior College and Rust College.  He relocated to Columbus, Ohio where he met and married his wife Charoletta Burger.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Charoletta (Shellee); his father, Earl Breaux; his siblings, Janelle Walker, Roland (April) Walker, Kathy (Ricky) Haynes, Gregory (Sheila) Ervings and David (Clarice) Erving; his step-children, Imani, Daris and Austin Burger; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Charles A. Miller

Charles Andrew Miller was born July 31, 1946 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the late Ray, Sr. and Mae Dell Miller.  Charles moved to Detroit and worked 30 years for Chrysler Corporation. A service celebrating his life was held in Gary, Indiana on August 16, 2010 at the Mt. Horeb M.B. Church. He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters:  Janice Walker, Earlene (Gregory) Allen and Tanya Walker; Two sons:  Robert (Belinda) Walker, Jr. and David Walker; Five sisters:  Madie Ree Watson, Melva Robinson, Mrytis Johnson, Eula Myers and Mary Lee (Aaron) Longino; Sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

Charlene Mackey, age 92 of Dallas, Texas went home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2010.  A service honoring her life was held on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church.  She is survived by two sons, A.J. Martin and Roan Parkman, Jr.; one daughter, Jearlean Coleman; one sister, Freddie Taylor; two brothers, Edward Martin and Frank Martin; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
